Too many Inception wins...
That a movie is complicated doesn’t mean that it’s good.
And actually, what makes a movie bad is an over-reliance on special effects and some weak leaps in logic at the very end. New, yes. Trippy, yes. Beautiful, yes. But still very far from brilliant.
Any merit the movie has is superficial and rooted in some combination of visual spectacle and logical perplexity.
